Hospital Admissions

Each of our doctors maintains full privileges at the Moses Cone Hospital System (Cone, Wesley Long, Women's Hospital).  Each Doctor makes rounds with his patients daily.  Severely ill patients may be seen multiple times a day.  If family members miss the doctor on these rounds and have questions, they are welcome to call the office and leave a message for a time they can be reached.  The doctor-patient relationship is a privileged one.  For this reason, we do not give information about your condition to anyone but your spouse or a designated family member without your permission.

Insurance carriers have differing requirements as to notification of the need to enter the hospital.  We will do our best to try to notify your carrier, but we consider it your responsibility to contact your insurance carrier if you are hospitalized.
